Ever wonder what a VA does? It's a fair question. From what I've come to understand since starting my business, ANVASSIST, VA is far more the name of the industry than the title of the individual. Some of us are website wizards, some are social media magicians, some are general or executive admin superstars, some are event planning gurus, some are online business managers, some are HR helpers, and so on...We can have a specialty or we can offer a little more broad assistance with experience in various categories.
When I started my business I struggled with my main "service offerings." I went with general/executive admin and event planning as looking at my previous professional experience, they seem to be the best fit for my skill set. BUT, I have so much more to offer than calendar management, document production and invoicing, vendor research and delegate coordination (all of which I'm good at). I'm creative, I love to learn new skills, I'm a great communicator and I have worked with so many 'interesting' people that my stakeholder management skills are pretty sharp. AND I too am a business owner. With me, you're not only hiring someone to "do the job," you're hiring someone who understands why the job matters to your business. You're hiring someone who feels she has a personal stake in whether your business is successful.
It is a difficult question to answer "what is a VA?" but what you should know is this...if you find yourself thinking "I'd so much rather pay someone to do this for my business" there's probably a VA for it. Contact me today!
